Basildon Town Football Club is a Charter Standard Football Club based at The Selex Ground in Gardiners Way, Basildon, Essex. The club colours are currently Blue and Yellow for the senior sides and light blue and white stripe shirts with navy blue shorts and socks. We currently have 2 Senior Mens sides, 5 Youth Boys sides and a Women team called C&K Basildon. This website is updated reguarly with news, stats, fixtures and results. SENIOR NEWS: (28/07/2010) BASILDON TOWN XI V FC SPARTA & BASILDON TOWN XI V CANVEY ISLAND

Basildon Town Senior sides will have two friendlies taking place on Saturday 31st July 2010, the first match will be between a Basildon Town XI and FC Sparta, the match will kick off at the Post Office Ground at 12:00. The 2nd match will be between a Basildon Town XI and Canvey Island, the match will kick off at the Post Office Ground at 2:00

SENIOR NEWS: (24/07/2010) BASILDON TOWN XI 2~3 LEIGH TOWN

Basildon Town kicked off pre-season with a 3~2 defeat against Leigh Town, Manager Jason Emery had a squad of 18 players for the match, Basildon took the lead in the first half through Connor Reader and held the lead till half time, the second half saw Basildon make 7 changes at half time. Midway through the second half Basildon found themselves 3~1 down. Basildon pulled a late goal back when Connor Reader again pounced in the box.

SENIOR NEWS: (23/07/2010) BASILDON TOWN XI V LEIGH TOWN

Basildon Town Senior side first pre-season friendly will take place on Saturday 24th July 2010, the match will be between a Basildon Town XI and Leigh Town, the match will kick off at the Post Office Ground at 2:00.

The Youth Teams will be registration day has been arranged on Saturday 24th July 2010, this is too sign player for the 2010/2011 season.

CLUB NEWS: (30/06/2010) SENIOR SQUAD TRAINING VENUE CHANGED

Senior Squad training has been moved from Gloucester Park to Markhams Chase for Thursday 1st July, 7:00 start and players bring boots and trainers.

Manager Jason Emery is looking forward to Pre-Season training on Tuesday 29th June at the Selex Ground starting at 7:00pm, everyone has been asked to bring boots and trainers.

CLUB NEWS: (23/06/2010) SENIOR PLAYERS MEETING

The meeting was arranged for all senior players to attend and discuss about the forecoming season. Manager Jason Emery has stated to the players what he expects from his squad in the future. The senior players left the meeting with a greater understanding in what was going to happen this season

YOUTH NEWS: (21/06/2010) SOUTHEND JUNIOR LEAGUE AGM

Southend Junior League AGM: League Standings for Basildon Town FC Youth Teams for the 2010/2011 Season. U13s 'A' Premier Division (10 Teams), U13s 'B' Division B (9 Teams), U14s 'A' Premier Division (10 Teams), U15s 'A' A Division (10 Teams) and U16s 'A' Premier Division (9 Teams). First league games have been arranged for 19th September 2010.

CLUB NEWS: (19/06/2010) MCDONALDS FUNDAY

The McDonalds Open Day on Saturday 19th June 2010 took place at the Post Office Ground (next door to the Selex Ground). It was a great day despite the weather, Sir Geoff Hurst attended the event and had a signing session. But a big thank you to everyone who helped out and volunteered and came to the event.

Manager Jason Emery has rearranged the senior players meeting for Wednesday 23rd June at the Selex Ground starting at 7:00pm.

Manager Jason Emery has arranged the start of Pre-Season training for Tuesday 29th June at the Selex Ground starting at 7:00pm.

CLUB NEWS: (11/06/2010) CLUB PRESENTATION

The Club Presentation took place on Friday 11th June 2010. It was a great evening with Dave Lovell winning Clubman of the Year, U14's player Joe Stokes won Youth Clubman of the Year, each side gave out their Managers Player, Players Player and Most Improved. These names will follow soon. Unfortunatly the event didnt pass without injury, this is due to U13's player Billy Cowlard suffering a nasty injury from landing badly while playing football outside, he was taken to hospital by ambulance with a broken collar bone. We all hope that Billy will make a speedy recovery and be back for pre-season training.

CLUB NEWS: (08/06/2010) NEW CHAIRMAN NAMED

The Newly elected Chairman of the football club is Alan Davies. Alan is looking to take Basildon Town Football Club forward on all levels. Alan has stated that improving standards and everyone working together will help build and develop the social environment for adult and youth players, friends, members and the local community. One of Alan's targets will be for the First Team to gain promotion in the 2010/2011. Another is to get Basildon Town dedicated sponsorship deals and funding to generate income and social bonding.

CLUB NEWS: (08/06/2010) BOB STEPS DOWN AS CHAIRMAN

Chairman Bob Moorcroft has stepped down as Chairman of the Football Club, Bob has stated that he was unable to commit to the club the hours needed for the position and wished to thank everyone for there time and efforts while he has been chairman. Bob took over as Chairman in November 2009 after the former Chairman Steve Brown resigned. The club will now elect a new Chaiman.

CLUB NEWS: (08/06/2010) AGM

The club held it's Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 8th June 2010. At AGM Bob Moorcroft stepped down as Chairman, Alan Davies has taken over the role as Chairman of the Football Club and is looking to push the club forward at all levels for the forthcoming seasons. Dave Lovell with remain as Secretary, Jason Potter will still be Treasurer and Terry Saggers remains as Social Secretary. The club will also looking to set-up a sub commitee for the 2010/2011 season, this sub commitee will be in control of organising club events. Thanks for those who turned up to the event.

Manager Mark Cubitt is looking to strenghten competition for places in his U15s 'A' side for the 2010/2011 season, if you are of a good standard and in Year 10 from september then it is possible for you to gain a place in his side. Please contact Mark Cubitt on 07894140982.

CLUB NEWS: (04/06/2010) SIDES FOR THE 2010/2011 SEASON

Basildon Town will be running 7 sides for the 2010/2011 season there are 2 senior sides (First Team and Reserve Team) they will be playing in the Essex Olympian League and 5 boys youth sides (U16s 'A', U15s 'A', U14s 'A', U13s 'A' and U13s 'B') they will be playing in the Southend Junior League. These sides are waiting for confirmation for what divisions they will be competing.
