2nds Go Down At Home

The Second Team lost at home to Kelvedon Hatch. Town's goal coming from the spot courtesy of Rouse.

U12s Lose To Berry Boys

The U12s went down 5 - 2  away from home to Berry Boys. The scorers were Farrell and Matthews.

Seconds Record First Win Of 2008

The Seconds recorded the first win of 2008 with a 2 - 1 home win against Faces. Brad Mimms and Cubitt were on target.

2008 Starts in Defeat

2008 started with a two defeats. The Firsts went down to Westhamians, losing 3 - 1 away from home. The Seconds also lost 2 - 0 at home to M&B Club. Wackett was the first scorer in 2008.

2007 Ends in Defeat

2007 ended with a home defeat to Linford Wanderers. The score was 3 - 0.

1sts Beat Top

The Firsts beat top of the table Writtle at home 3 - 1. Goalscorers were Wackett (2) and Liam Rouse with his first for the club.

1sts Through To 4th Round

2nds Run Stops

The Firsts have made it through to the Fourth Round of the Essex Premier Cup. Their Third Round tie was abandoned with them 2 - 0 up at home to Burnham Ramblers. Danny Cox scored on his First Team debut and Eales got the other. The Seconds good run came to an end with a 2 - 1 defeat at Faces. Lawson was the scorer.

Draw For Under 12s

The Under 12s were the only team to play over the weekend when they entertained Rayleigh Boys. Farrell scored the goal in a 1 - 1 draw.

 

1sts Ends 10 - 8 (Players Not Goals)

2nds Do It Again

In a very eventful game the First Team came back from having their goalkeeper sent off to record a 3 - 1 victory at Great Baddow. Baddow had 3 men sent off ending the game with 8 players. The Goalscorers were Austin, Wackett and Eales. The Seconds continued their mini revival with a 4 - 1 Home win against table toppers Takeley. The goals came from Shannon, Bodgi, Saunders and Bradley Mimms.

Bad Day For Under 12s

The Under 12s had an off day losing away at Trinity 8 - 2. Scorers were Fincken and Farrell.

Davies Hero As The Seconds Get 3 Points At Last

The First Team went down 2 - 0 at home to Runwell Hospital. Joe Davies was the hero for the seconds, scoring the winning goal in a 2 - 1 Away win at Metpol Chigwell. The other scorers was Greg Barker. This was the Seconds first win of the season.

Penalty Glory

The First Team were missing a number of regular players for the Essex Premier Cup tie at home to Hutton. This did not stop them going through on penalties after drawing 2 - 2 after extra time. The goals scored in normal time came courtesy of Stead and Eales. For the record Eales, Stead, Pullen and Smith all scored their penalties. The Seconds went down in the League 5 - 2 away to Mountnessing. Bodell from the spot and Cox were the scorers.

Under 12s Meet For Sunday 18th November

The Under 12s are at home to Chalvedon Youth on Sunday 18th November. All players should meet at the Selex Sports Ground at 1:00pm. Blue Kit is required this week.

Draw for Under 12s

Sunday's game saw the Under 12s away at Leigh Ramblers. The match ended all square, two goals a piece. Towns scorers were Farrell and Hull.

Second 3 - 1 Cup Defeat For Seconds

The seconds were knocked out of a cup competition for the second week running by the score line 3 - 1. This week was the Reserve Divisional Cup where they played hosts to Rayleigh Town. Cox managed his second goal in two games.

Hutton V Town Firsts Off

The First Team County Cup game away at Hutton was called off on Saturday. Both teams had warmed up and were about to come out for the start, when the referee decided that the oak tree in the bottom corner was a 'health and safety' threat. Hutton have only played about 10 games this season on the same pitch and in fact been playing there for 30 odd years.

Under 12s Meet For Sunday 11th November

The Under 12s are away to Leigh Ramblers on Sunday 11th November. All players should meet at the Selex Sports Ground at 9:00am. Red Kit is required this week.

Under 12s Bow Out Of County Cup

The Under 12s are out of the County Cup, having lost 4 - 2 to Develop after extra time. Goalscorers were Sherwin and Farrell.

Two 3 - 1 Results

The two mens games both ended 3 - 1 but with differing outcomes. The Firsts won 3 - 1 at home to Metpol Chigwell and the Seconds lost 3 - 1 Away to White Ensign in the Essex Junior Cup. First team goals came from Wackett (2) and Eales. The Seconds consolation was scored by Cox.

Another Lose For Under 12s

The Under 12s Went down 3 - 1 away at Chalvedon Boys. Town's goal came from George Fincken.

Bad Week For The Men

Both sides lost on Saturday. The Firsts 2 - 1 at home to Newham United and the Reserves 5 - 0 away at Kelvedon Hatch. The only goal of the weekend being scored by Wackett.

Under 12s Meet For Sunday 30th September

The Under 12s are away to Chalvedon on Sunday 28th September, in the League. All players should meet at the Markhams Chase, Laindon at 10:00am. Red kit is required this week.

Under 12s Score 3 But Still Lose

The Under 12s recorded their first win of the season, with a 2 - 1 win away at Trinity. Goalscorers were Marcus Mills and Robbie Farrell.

1st Team Progress In The Charity Cup

The firsts are looking to repeat last years Southend Charity Cup final appearance and have got over the first hurdle with a 2 - 1 away win at Blackgate Gunners. Goals came from Eales and Wackett. The Seconds went down 3 - 1 at home to Hannakins Farm. Their consolation coming from Potter.

Under 12s Meet For Sunday 7th October

The Under 12s are away to Rayleigh Boys on Sunday 7th October. All players should meet at the Selex Sports Ground at 10:00am. Blue kit with black shorts is required this week.

Under 12s Meet For Sunday 30th September

The Under 12s are away to Fern Juniors on Sunday 30th September, in the County Cup. All players should meet at the Selex Sports Ground at 9:30am. Red kit is required this week.

The Under 12s recorded their first win of the season, with a 2 - 1 win away at Trinity. Goalscorers were Marcus Mills and Robbie Farrell.

One Win, One Lose

The firsts got back to winning ways on Saturday with a comprehensive 5 - 2 victory at home to Shenfield. Eales let the way with a brace & the goals coming from Wackett, Wilson and an own goal. The Seconds went down 1 - 0 away at Hannakins Farm with the last kick of the game.

The Under 12s are away to Trinity on Sunday 23rd September. All players should meet at the Selex Sports Ground at 12:45pm

Under 12s Start With A Draw

In their first competitive match as Basildon Town, the Under 12s came from behind to draw 2 - 2 at home to Leigh Ramblers. Goalscorers were Marcus Mills and Daniel Martyn

Bad Weekend For Mens Teams

Both teams lost at the weekend. The Firsts lost 4 - 1 at home to Frentford Senior in the Senior Division Cup & the Seconds lost 8 - 0 away at Takeley. Towns only goal of the weekend was scored by Eales.

Reserves Start With Defeat

The Reserves hosted Metpol Chigwell in their opening game of the season, which they unfortunately lost 2 - 1. Towns goal came from Mimms.

First Defeat

The First Teams first defeat of the season came away at Ramsden. The result was a 5 - 1 reverse. Towns goalscorer was Eales.

A Good Start

Great Baddow were the first visitors of the new season. It was an excellent start for the First Team as they run out 2 - 0 victors. Goals came from Smith and Stead.

With Pre-season training now under way Basildon Town are always on the look out for new players. In particular we are looking for Goalkeepers. Anyone interested can Email - BasildonTown@basildontown.co.uk for more details.

Pre-Season Training Has Started

Welcome Basildon Towns New U12s Team

Everyone involved at Basildon Town would like to welcome our newest team, Basildon Town Under 12s. They were formerly Corringham Cosmos. They will be playing there home games at Selex Sports Ground on Sunday afternoons and I am sure would welcome any additional support.
